This is a special-edition facsimile of the Green-crowned Brilliant Hummingbird or Heliodoxa Jacula (Plate 94) from Volume II of "A Monograph of the Trochilidae or Family of Humming-Birds" by John Gould, originally published in 1861. This edition was printed by Hill House Publishers in 1990.

Hill House was awarded the right to create the facsimile using the original works held by the library of London's Natural History Museum. Each print was made using the traditional process of plates, ensuring the accuracy of the copy, right down to the blemishes and spots on the originals.
